Earn While You Learn

Want to work in care but don't have a Qualification?

Our Earn While You Learn programme is designed to help you gain qualifications while you are working.

  • Train for the City & Guilds Diploma in Health & Social Care with just three classroom days, then complete the rest of the course online.
  • Pass the two mandatory modules in the classroom and you are legally entitled to work as a paid Carer.
  • You must complete the remaining units within six months. This can be done through our online portal with your assessor helping you each step of the way.
  • When you graduate with your full diploma, it will be recognised as equivalent to the QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support which is accepted in all settings throughout Ireland and internationally.

Contractual obligation***

Candidates will be expected to provide their professional services for a period of 18 months.

If a candidate chooses to leave the company within the first 18 months they will be required to repay the company for the following

  • Relocation flight
  • First Months accommodation
  • City and Guilds Training

Based on the following sliding scale

  • 0 Months – 6 Months; Candidate will be required to repay 100%
  • 7 Months – 12 Months; Candidate will be required to repay 75%
  • 13 Months – 18 Months; Candidate will be required to repay 50%

Loan Agreement***

Any loans provided by the company will be required to be repaid over a 12 month period.

12 equal payments will be taken from the candidates salary over this 12 month period.

  • 10. Undertake agreed pressure area care
  • 11. Support individuals at the end of life
  • 12. Promote nutrition and hydration in health and social care settings
  • 13. Promote positive behaviour

On Arrival

PCA Nursing will provide a meet and greet service for all new arrivals at the Airport and will accompany all candidates to their accommodation.

Candidates will be met and brought to the training on the first day and will be responsible for getting themselves to the training on all other days.
