Rates of pay (per hour)

  • Graduate Nurse €18.00
    • Monthly take home pay: €2,590.00
  • Healthcare Assistant €12.00
    • Monthly take home pay: €1,890.00

Roster Rotation & Annual Leave

  • On average, you will work a 42 hour week with overtime opportunities
  • Typically 5-6 weeks on day duty followed by 2 weeks on night duty, and you will know your roster 6 weeks in advance.
  • Annual leave entitlement is 4 weeks
  • The annual leave year runs from Jan to Dec (entitlement is pro-rata for new starters)

Accommodation & Travel

  • Free accommodation is provided by The Marlay in a B&B for the 1st week of employment (to a max value of €250)
  • If staying longer in a B&B, the extra costs will be paid by The Marlay to B&B but recovered from your salary
  • Cost of flight to Ireland (up to €250) will be paid – any extra flight costs will be recovered (in instalments)
  • Salary advance at start of employment is available • The Marlay may be able to assist with finding longer term accommodation

Payroll Assistance

  • New employees are primarily responsible for obtaining their own PPS numbers but PCQ Healthcare will help where possible
  • The Marlay will assist with establishing a Bank Account in Ireland for the employee

The Marlay, are dedicated to providing an excellent service to their residents. This dedication is supported by a sincere commitment to education and training for all our staff.

On commencement, staff will undertake a period of Induction Training to orient them to their roles. Staff development is promoted through a combination of ‘on-the-job’ training, in-house training courses, external training courses and attendance at conferences and seminars.

They deliver regular in-house training sessions to ensure that staff are up-to-date with all Mandatory Training requirements. In addition to this, they also provide other in-house training hours to continually update the knowledge of staff, for example, in the areas of Management of Actual and Potential Aggression (MAPA), End of Life Care, Best Practice in Dementia Care and others. All hours in attendance at in-house induction and training sessions are paid for by The Marlay.

They also encourage staff to further develop their skills and we do support attendance at external training courses where appropriate.

Requirements

Essential

  • Most be registered or in the process of registering with the NMBI (Irish Nursing Board)
  • English level must be a high B1 or higher (Intermediate level)
  • Most be able to attend interview face to face in Bucharest on the 15th of May
  • A passion for working with elderly patients


Preferred but not Essential

  • 2 years nursing Experience
  • Experience working with elderly patients


Healthcare Assistant Requirements

Essential

  • English level must be a high B1 or higher (Intermediate level)
  • Most have completed a related healthcare course
  • Most be able to attend interview face to face in Bucharest on the 15th of May
  • A passion for working with elderly patients

Preferred but not Essential

  • Experience working with elderly patients
