The role of the Care & Rehabilitation Assistant is to support Residents with Acquired Brain Injury and Long Term Sick to live valued lives in a supported environment and to facilitate optimal independence and participation in activities within the Homes environment and with their community involvement.

About St Doolagh’s Park Care & Rehabilitation Centre
St Doolagh’s Park Care & Rehabilitation Centre caters for residents who require long or medium term care with a primary diagnosis of an Acquired Brain Injury. An Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) can be the result of a road traffic accident, a stroke, brain haemorrhage, infection, tumour, or head trauma. Some of their resident’s require medium term care before they move onto another care setting such as assisted independent living.
At St. Doolagh's Park they meet the needs of their residents by providing them with the highest level of person centred care and service. Their multi-disciplinary team devises an individual care and rehabilitation plan with each resident as appropriate to ensure the achievement of both the highest level of care and personal outcome measures.
The team includes a Senior Psychologist, a Physiotherapist, a G.P., Occupational Therapist, Registered General and Psychiatric Nurses, Behavioural Specialists, and Care Assistants.
St. Doolagh's Park has 72 single suite bedrooms that are fitted with bespoke furniture, a wireless call bell system and private telephone. All rooms have been designed to afford easy access and facilitate assisted showering where required. Residents are encouraged to bring in personal items which will ensure their stay with us is a happy one. All their residents have the right to privacy and are treated with the utmost respect and dignity.
They also provide assisted daily living training facilities, gymnasium, games room, communal areas and smaller lounge areas to facilitate a homely and supportive environment.
Special emphasis is placed on the individual happiness and dignity of their residents. Friends and family are always welcome and they run regular family groups.
St Doolagh’s Park Care and Rehabilitation Centre has been awarded accreditation by CARF Europe for its Residential Rehabilitation Brain Injury Speciality Programme and Person Centred Long Term Care Community.

We endeavor to provide as wide a range of activities as possible to cater for physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the residents. Our full-time Activities Co-ordinator Karen Brett plays a key role at St. Doolagh's Park in delivering a broad and exciting range of activities for our residents.

St. Doolagh's Park is a purpose built care & rehabilitation centre situated in park land setting off the Malahide Road, close to Malahide Village and Swords, the airport and the M1 Motorway and a regular bus service is provided at the entrance to St. Doolagh's Park to the Dublin City Centre.
