Experienced Nurses for ICU (Public Teaching Hospital)– Dublin

In association with our client, we are actively recruiting ICU Nurses in a leading Dublin Teaching Hospital. The ICU serves as a tertiary referral centre, providing therapies and supporting wide range specialties. 

 

Requirements:

  • Registered with NMBI
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Valid authorisation to live and work in Ireland
  • The successful post holder should possess 1-year post-graduate experience in a medical and/or surgical ward, plus 6 months ICU experience in recent years, OR 1-year recent ICU experience.

 

They are presently recruiting for three units. 

  • General Intensive Care Unit (GICU)

The General ICU is a 10-bed medical-surgical multi-specialty ICU located on the lower ground floor. The Unit recently underwent extensive renovation with the construction of 2 neutral-pressure isolation rooms. The Unit admits 400-500 critically ill patients annually from all over Ireland. Over 90% of patients receive invasive ventilatory support. Patients with multi-organ failure receive multi-organ support The Unit is staffed by specialty medical, nursing and multi-disciplinary staff. 

  • Richmond Intensive Care Unit (RICU)

The Richmond ICU is a 10-bed neurocritical ICU located on the first floor. It contains 10 designated neuroscience beds. It is hoped sufficient resource will be allocated to open extra critical care capacity. The Unit admits 400-500 critically ill patients annually from all over Ireland. Over 90% of patients receive invasive ventilatory support. Patients with multi-organ failure receive multi-organ support.

The Unit is staffed by neuro-specialty surgical, medical, nursing and multi-disciplinary staff. It is hoped sufficient resource is allocated to open extra neuro-critical care capacity.

  • High-Dependency Unit (HDU)

An 8-bed modular-build HDU was recently built. It includes 4 neutral-pressure isolation rooms and 4 open-floor critical care beds.
